Independent Chef

Indian by Nature is looking for an enthusiastic and independent chef who is passionate about authentic Indian cuisine and exceptional hospitality.

Indian by Nature is an authentic Indian restaurant led by Chef Anil Semwal. We are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences using the finest natural ingredients.

Our kitchen specialises in traditional slow-cooked curries, tandoori specialities and carefully crafted dishes that celebrate the rich flavours and heritage of Indian cuisine.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing lunch and dinner dishes independently.
• Carrying out mise-en-place and other preparatory tasks.
• Ensuring the quality, flavour and presentation of every dish.
• Working in accordance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Managing stock, including ordering, receiving and checking products.
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workstations.
• Contributing ideas for recipes, menu improvements and efficient working methods.
• Supporting and supervising kitchen assistants where required.

Who We Are Looking For

• An MBO Level 3 qualification or equivalent working and thinking level.
• Strong technical culinary knowledge and skills.
• The ability to work independently and take initiative.
• A positive attitude during busy service periods.
• A true team player who enjoys working in a dynamic kitchen.
• Good communication skills in Dutch or English.
• Motivated, committed and eager to continue learning.
